Character NAME: [Project] Alice
Canon & MEDIUM: Resident Evil | Movie
Canon PULL-POINT: Just seconds after Wesker injected her with the T-Virus.
Character AGE: Mid 20’s somewhere, as a rough estimate.
Character ABILITIES:

Thanks to the t-Virus bonding with her DNA on a cellular level, Alice now has enhanced speed, agility, senses, strength and accelerated healing. Her strength is enough that kicking someone in the face while being held back is enough to snap a neck and kill a man. Let’s add to the bonus that Alice has gotten all of the positive aspects of the virus without turning into a zombie.

Addition experimentation allowed Alice to develop telekinetic abilities as well. Her telekinetic ability is strong enough that she can kill a man without actually seeing him. In one of the Umbrella facilities, she caused a security guard that was observing her through the cameras to start bleeding from every orifice. She can also levitate quite a few items both intentionally and sometimes accidentally, as she once did so while she was sleeping. It can also be used to reflect creatures, fire, etc. like a shield and to bring part of a building (maybe even an entire building, her ability does seem to be strong enough that she would have that capability) down on someone.

We’re also lead to believe that she has a minor but growing telepathic ability as well, as she was able to see part of the life of one of her clones in the Hive Prime complex in Russia when the Red Queen was performing experiments. As well as, near the end of Afterlife, she places her hand against a glass tube containing one of the (dead) captives Wesker had and she was able to “read” their last moments.

And let’s not forget Program Alice. She has a neural dampener implanted in her body that allows anyone with the proper access codes and computer skills to use satellites to triangulate her position and summarily “shut her down” which leaves her consciously aware but incapable of moving, blinking or anything really aside from mentally cursing Umbrella. It can also enable Umbrella to take control of her, force her to follow their orders. Of course, it would now take a particularly powerful signal and infinitely better computer skills than Dr. Isaacs had in order to stop or control her now.

Character HISTORY:

HERE.

Character PERSONALITY:

Formerly an agent of the Umbrella Corporation, Alice is a highly trained woman with the skill and ability to kill with ease and to perform undercover operations, such as posing as a married woman to protect the entrance to one of Umbrella’s Hives. Even as one of their operatives though, she was working against Umbrella’s, willing to attempt to smuggle out a sample of the T-Virus to bring Umbrella down for good.

Used as one of Umbrella’s experiments and injected with the T-Virus, she holds incredible animosity towards the company and its employees. Even moreso when she discovered that her friend, Matt, had been turned into Nemesis and, during her final fight against him, he defended her and disobeyed an order to kill her.

Part of Alice lacks trust in herself since, thanks to Umbrella’s influence and Project Alice, she killed a young girl, Angela Ashford. If Umbrella could, and would, force her to kill a child, they could make her do something to her friends and that wasn’t a risk that she was ever willing to take.

By the time Extinction rolls around, Alice has opted to travel alone, survive alone. All for the protection of everyone else. She’s not opposed to helping people who send out radio signals, willing to save them and send them on the route she thinks will send them to other survivors but she won’t ever stay with anyone long. Of course, she’s also willing to kill survivors as well, in the case of a group that attempted to contain her and potentially rape her. She left them for infected dogs to kill and killed one man herself via a kick to the head.

She does care greatly for others, falling for or rekindling her love for Carlos but having to watch him die after being infected. It strengthens what resolve she has to help the convoy find somewhere safe to go and to leave them go without her for their safety. Going it alone displays a distinct lack of fear for her own well-being, whether because she knows she is abnormal and her loss will benefit many others or it is because she is incredibly confident in her skills. Which would be justifiable, just watching her fight.

Alice displays a mildly sadistic sense of humor when Isaacs expresses that he’s the future of humanity and not Alice by laughing as he’s about the kill her. She simply said that he was just another asshole and that they were both going to die. So she also has no fear of death, or at least, a very mild one if covering her face was anything to go by. Otherwise it’s simple to distinguish that as simply not wanting to see her death coming.

That isn’t to say that she lacks fear, she does. Nightmares haunt her almost every time she sleeps, sometimes seeing flashes of a clones life or death, or even memories coming to haunt her of the beginning of the pandemic or her friends dying.

Part of her hates herself, hate that she’s not completely human because of the T-Virus. In fact, she actually thanks Wesker in Afterlife when he injects her with the anti-virus and takes away her powers. For making her human again. She spent six months alone after the attack she and her clones made on one of the Umbrella Hives, searching for signs of life, Arcadia and her friends but with no luck. It’s with an encounter with an amnesia Claire that displays Alice’s sense of mercy, not killing the woman after being attacked although that was likely because of the bond they had shared and she wanted to help.

Her sanity, or lack thereof, was displayed again when she crash landed her plane on the roof of a correctional facility inhabited by a small group of survivors and surrounded by, possibly, thousands of zombies which later included an Executioner and several Las Plagas zombies.

Alice is also very clever, very intelligent and can think on her feet much faster than most people. Obviously bullets are going to run out eventually, and Alice figured out a method to arm herself with guns but with increased destructive power towards zombies by using quarters as ammo. She also figured out a way for the group in the correctional facility to escape by using tunnels dug by the zombies to get to the sewers and out to Arcadia. Her intelligence is expressed as well by her comment that she broke into an Umbrella Facility and hacked their systems to learn of their satellite positions throughout each day, so as to avoid them. Tactically, she is also skilled as she replaced a bomb from Arcadia and placed it into a plane that Wesker would use to escape, seeming to know that he was likely to survive or escape a confrontation with her.

She has a high tolerance for torture, evidenced in Retribution when Jill attempts to interrogate her in the beginning with an incredibly high pitched sound that seems to cause Alice an intense amount of pain but she doesn’t answer any of the questions that she’s asked. And throughout all the films, she displays an incredible talent for survival, both with and without her powers and made even more impressive when she takes out an Executioner in Afterlife and takes out two in Retribution, with minor help from Claire and Ada in the their respective film appearances.

Alice displays a minor phobia of enclosed places as well, in Afterlife. Likely due to the fact that she despises being contained in any way and is incapable of hurting anyone for containing her. And yet she still moves on, unwilling to allow fear or anything else control her but herself.

Loyal to a fault is another way to describe Alice, tracking down Arcadia and her friends to help them and ensure they were safe, only to encounter Wesker again, and he knew that she would come for her friends, commenting that loyalty was highly overrated.

Chosen WEAPON:

A SIG-Sauer P220 Sport as seen HERE, HERE and HERE.

Chosen SKILLSET:

Alice is a fighter, most definitely. She can kick [zombie] ass harder than anyone else in Resident Evil whether she has guns, knives, swords, flamethrowers or just her fists and powers. She’s fought and done so much over the years that relaxing wouldn’t be an option. Not at easy one.

Look, I’m not good at this whole… socializing thing. I’m used to doing things on my own and avoiding human contact as much as possible. And getting answers from more than a few survivors is different.

[There’s a pause as she clears her throat.]

I suppose I should introduce myself. I’m Alice. Just Alice.

[Another pause and she seems… unsure of how this works. Socializing really is the last thing she’s used to. It’s been years since the initial outbreak of the virus, years she spent alone so that others would be safe in case Umbrella ever forced control over her again.]

… This is ridiculous. Here’s the deal, I’ll help fight, I’ll protect people but don’t count on me making friends alright? I’m going from one war to another. I’ve spent five years running, hiding and killing things. I’ve watched friends come and go and most of them have died, some of them while trying to help me.

So don’t help me unless I ask for it.

[And she won’t ask for it.]

Third PERSON:

A punching bag in front of her, fists wrapped and taped and she hit at it fast and hard. Marks were left in the places where she struck but only marks, Alice was pulling her strength back. She could probably smash it right off the hook if she didn’t hold back a bit. Her knuckles were bloody, or so they appeared. The skin had broken a few times while she was hitting the punching bag but already they had healed, a ‘benefit’ of the T-Virus.

The thought of the T-Virus being part of her again sent a ripple a red-hot rage through her and she swung her leg out at it, boots connecting hard enough to make the sound echo across the walls and the bag snapping off the hook and hitting the nearest wall. She was here, her friends were back in D.C. with Wesker and an army of zombies under the Red Queens control. With a yell and several profanities, Alice grabbed a towel and wiped the sweat from her brow and left the room, leaving the mess of remains from the punching bag behind. It wasn’t enough to take her from one war zone to another but that she didn’t know how her friends were surviving, couldn’t help them when she was there so-called ultimate weapon.

“Dammit!”

Maybe that was why she was here. Who could pass up the chance for an ‘ultimate weapon’ to help them fight and win a war, after all? Humanity was selfish in general, who cares if they’re taking someone from a war of their own to help with another.

No, Alice couldn’t let herself think so bitterly. She could understand the desire to win a war, to protect yourself and others. She only wished that she could be with her friends, could protect them right now. Alice wished she could protect Becky.

“Damn!”

Alice needed something to do. Desperately. Some kind of distraction, any kind really. She was so used to being active, running, fighting, helping, killing. Training with someone would even work, getting used to having her powers again and learning the extent of them now that she didn’t have to fear Umbrella being able to hunt her down just for using them.
